First up, new to our Tribute Series: the HB-35TL. A semi-hollow, double-cutaway electric guitar with an iconic build. Maple body with an arched top, an Okoume sustain block and a set-in maple neck means the HB-35TL oozes resonance. The neck is carved in a comfortable C, sized at 22mm at the first fret and opening to 23.5mm by the twelfth, capped with a warm rosewood fingerboard rolled at the edges. Loaded with a pair of Tesla VR-60 Alnico 5 humbuckers, two volumes wired as push/pull pots for coil-splitting, plus two tones and a 3-way switch, this guitar covers the full tonal range from full lush humbucker to thinner single-coil snap. Finished in gorgeous shades of Pelham Blue (also in lefthand), Golden Mist, and Burgundy, this one’s nothing short of a starstruck heartthrob.
But that’s not all for the semi-hollowbodies: introducing the HB-35Plus Rotary. All the best of our HB-35 Plus, with an added rotary switch to really step things up a notch. The rotary is a 6-position switch that gradually cuts out frequencies. In position 1, the switch is bypassed and sound is unaffected. In positions 2 to 6, the mid-range frequencies are reduced, resulting in a crisper sound – a premium feature usually reserved for guitars well above this price point. Pickups are a matched ISOLA VT60CR-B and VT60CN-N Alnico 5 humbuckers. Other controls run 2x volume (push/pull for coil-splitting) and 2x tone, on top of a standard 3-way switch. The newest addition to our Vintage Series, finished in Transparent Black Gloss, Transparent Cherry Gloss, or Vintage Sunburst Gloss.
Next in line is the ST-Modern Plus HH Vega, built around a Vegatrem VT1 Ultratrem as the headline feature: a floating bridge system built for full dive bombs and pull-ups with minimal tuning instability. Staggered machine heads and a reversed headstock both further work toward the same goal: keeping the guitar in tune through exactly the kind of abuse a Vegatrem invites. A superstrat with an American alder body, tapered heel, and sculpted rear contouring. The neck is roasted Canadian flame maple in a smooth C, with a Laurel skunk strip and a maple fingerboard carrying square rolled edges. Dot inlays, glow-in-the-dark side markers, 22 rounded off stainless steel frets on a compound radius with graphite nut, and the double-action spoke wheel truss rod — this is a guitar full of premium features. Two chrome-covered Tesla CROW85 humbuckers controlled by one volume, one tone with push/pull coil-split, 3-way blade switch. Finished in Rootbeer Metallic or Morning Mist with a 3-ply tortoise pickguard, dutifully joining our Pro Series.
And lastly, the hardtail sibling, the ST-Modern Plus HH, gets its own range of metallic colour drops. Radiant Red, Desert, Root Beer, Tangerine, and Purple (also in leftie), all greet the ST-Modern Plus HH lineup. Same roasted flame maple neck, same Tesla CROW-85 humbucker pairing with push/pull coil-split, but swapped onto a poplar body and a Babicz FCH Z hardtail, string-through-body bridge for maximum sustain and stability.
All new models are available online from September 24th, or catch their live debut at Guitar Summit, Mannheim, this September 25th-27th.
