Not Just Parlour Tricks: The CLP-12SM BRS LH is a Solid Top With Vintage Soul

Launches 03.06.2026
Another drop for the lefties, because we're always thinking of you southpaw guys and gals. And this one's for the folksters in particular. The CLP-12SM BRS is a stunning parlor guitar combining old-world craft with contemporary candour. The same ol' vintage soul topped with premium detailing, now spun 'round 180 degrees. Yeehaw!

Got Them Prison Blues

A glossy solid top that sings like a canary? Sign us up. The CLP-12SM’s Sitka spruce solid top projects a wide dynamic range welcoming both gentle fingerpicking and harder strumming styles. The mahogany sapele body radiates a warm, midrange-focused sound, emphasising fundamental notes over overtones, giving the parlour piece a dry, woody, vintage character. The neck sits in a comfortable C-shape and carries a romantic 19-fret purpleheart fingerboard. Just don’t confess your sins out loud, not unless you’re ready for the jailhouse!

Out of The Box

With a 628 mm scale length, a 43 mm bone nut, and a slim parlor body measuring 98 × 35 × 9.5 cm, the CLP-12SM is comfortable for a wide range of players. For performers especially, the HB-03 piezo pickup system with onboard preamp and built-in chromatic tuner means the CLP-12SM is gig-ready straight from the case. Deluxe antique open-back tuners–as well as being easy on the eyes–tune smoothly and reliably. Strings run through a purpleheart bridge offering stability and a warm, long-lasting tone, right out of the box.

A Few Parlour Tricks

Premium detailing runs throughout. Abalone bindings, rosette and fretboard inlays shimmer with greens, blues, and purples depending on the light and add visual depth that catches the light on stage for your very own parlour trick. It otherwise has a timeless, refined appearance and characteristic sonic warmth: a dry, midrange-forward voice that sits beautifully in recorded and intimate live settings alike.

Solid tonewoods, abalone detailing, and a pickup ready for the stage. Built for players who want the focused tone of a small-body acoustic with vintage character. Great for fingerpicking, folk, trad and blues. And now, you don’t even have to restring it upside down!
