Picture this: it’s been a long day of travel. You arrive at your destination, and instead of kicking your feet up, hair flowing in the breeze and Birra Moretti in hand, you now have to unbox ‘round about seventy guitars, tune, hang them up and otherwise prep your stand at the Bologna Guitar Show. Better hope they sell protein shakes.
That’s just day one in Bologna, and things went uphill from there. Once we were all set up, it was three long-but-rewarding days of greetings, gear talk, and, of course, musical mayhem.

The best thing about the guitar show was meeting you all in person. You got the chance to put our guitars to the test, and we got the chance to put a face to the social media handle slash email address. Connecting in person was really something special. And seeing the talent of our community as they picked up a Fusion IV and laid down some gnarly leads, or pumped a groovy MV-4JB bassline, made us proud. Especially impressive were the kids who were already well on their way to becoming the next guitar legends. Thanks, kiddo, you’ve restored our faith in the next generation.

Of course, we couldn’t rock up to a guitar show and not let a few cats out of the bag. We brought with us a couple of yet unreleased Fusion T-IIs. They were played almost constantly and only very rarely hung on the wall. People were particularly taken with the black EMG version. So keep your eyes peeled and subscribe to THE CLUB for further updates!
We also ran our own onsite giveaway: we hid a black ST-80 somewhere at the fair. Participants had one hour to play detective and uncover which stand it was on. The first person to come back to us having solved the case, won the guitar. And that’s not all, because we were feeling extra generous, we also gave out a DNAfx pedal each for the runners-up. That went down a treat. Congratulations to our winners, we hope you enjoy your new toys!
Bologna itself was a ball. We ate. We drank. There wasn’t a vegetable in sight, just meat, pasta, and a fruity lambrusco to wash it all down. Energy drinks kept us going. Rumour has it Lukas survived the trip on caffeine, vibes and riffs alone.
Beyond the food coma and questionable life choices, we couldn’t have been happier with the show itself. We had countless great conversations over the three days, met familiar faces and plenty of new ones, but what stood out most was seeing just how passionately the Italian Harley Benton community showed up for us. The excitement, the curiosity, the feedback, the queues at the booth. Spending three days on the stand from morning until evening was exhausting, not gonna lie, but thanks to your energy we powered through and had an absolute blast. We came home tired, slightly overcaffeinated, and with a massive smile on our faces. Grazie mille, Italy.
